How do Palero's feel about a recent portrayal of Palo Mayombe on a Episode of Criminal minds?

The recent portrayal of Palo Mayombe on an episode of Criminal Minds only served to hinder the progress that many spiritualist and Palero's are making in promoting the positive aspect of Palo Mayombe. The more and more the Media and Hollywood continue the attack on Afro/Latino faiths we fall victim to the public having a negative perception on us all.

  1. The episode of criminal minds as one of Dexter's episodes just portrayes what almost every web side shows when Palo Mayombe is search, many spiritualist only show this part of our way of life, I feel they want to be known as fearless people to obtain monetary gain but not show the true beauty of it, and how it can really help others.

  2. The episode of Criminal Minds that aired recently on Channel 2 is nothing more than that..a television show. The show is aimed toward pleasing the eyes of the people who watch it..so having a show about Palo Mayombe, which many people know little to nothing about, only enhances the networks ratings..true to the form of the media that show portrayed Palo Mayombe as a "Dark" religion. Unfortunatly, for Paleros and spiritualists throughout the world, they now have to endure yet another misconception of their way of life...a way of life which if any one cared to truly research it's origins, would know that Palo Mayombe lifts people spritually, and helps individuals to heal what is ailing them mentally and physically in their lives. But have no fear for if you are a practitioner of Palo Mayombe you already know it's true beauty...and that is all that matters...as is true at the end of everyday...it is only you that you must answer to no one else.

  3. I just hate how Paleros/ Paleras are viewed in general. When others are left with no alternatives. They seek out for Nganga.

  4. I think the writers based it very loosely on the real life example of a serial killer Adolfo Constanzo.
